סימן מא סעיף ז

אִם מְחַלֵּק פְּרוּסוֹת הַמּוֹצִיא לְהַמְסֻבִּין, לֹא יִזְרְקֵן, דְּאָסוּר לִזְרוֹק אֶת הַפַּת, וְגַם לֹא יִתְּנֶנָּהּ לְתוֹךְ יָדוֹ, אֶלָּא יַנִּיחֶנָּהּ לְפָנָיו (קס"ז).

When you distribute portions of bread to others at the table, do not throw them, for it is forbidden to throw bread. And also do not hand it directly into the other person's hand, but, rather, place it in front of him.

תנא דבי אליהו כל השונה הלכות בכל יום מובטח לו שהוא בן העולם הבא שנאמר הליכות עולם לו אל תקרי הליכות אלא הלכות (נדה ע"ג.)
