סימן פב סעיף יא

אַמַּת הַמַּיִם הָעוֹבֶרֶת בְּתוֹךְ הֶחָצֵר, אָסוּר לְמַלֹּאת מַיִם מִמֶּנָּהּ. (וּבְֹשֻלְחָן עָרוּךְ סִימָן שנ"ו מְבֹאָר אֵיךְ יְתַקְּנָהּ).

[From] a stream²⁴A stream that is ten tefachim deep and ten tefachim wide. that runs through a courtyard²⁵The stream passes through and does not stagnate in the yard as a pond. it is forbidden to draw water.²⁶Because such a stream is a karmelis and the yard is a private domain. If it does not flow out of the yard, but collects as a pond, it is all a private domain. See Sha’ar Hatziyun 356: 3 for further details.
