יֵשׁ כַּמָּה דְּבָרִים בְּעִנְיַן מְדִידַת תְּחוּם שַׁבָּת לְהָקֵל, וְאֵין לַעֲשׂוֹת כִּי אִם עַל יְדֵי בָקִי (שצ"ו שצ"ז שצ"ח שצ"ט).

There are many halachos concerning measuring a Shabbos boundary that are lenient, and it should be done only by someone well-versed in these laws.¹³Shulchan Aruch 399: 7. These laws are not discussed in the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch. He must be an expert surveyor and well-versed in the halachos. [Mishnah Berurah]
