סימן קס סעיף ב

חֲפִיפָה שֶׁבִּמְקוֹם הַשְּׂעָרוֹת, לֹא תְהֵא בְּדָבָר שֶׁמְּסַבֵּךְ אֶת הַשְׂעָרוֹת. וּבְבוֹרִית שֶׁאָנוּ קוֹרִין זֵייף [סַבּוֹן], נוֹהֲגִין לְהָקֵל, שֶׁהוּא מְנַקֶּה הֵיטֵב וְאֵינוֹ מְסַבֵּךְ.

The chafifah on places where there is hair, should not be done with anything that tends to entangle the hair.³For this reason cold water should not be used. (Shulchan Aruch 199:2) With regard to using soap, our custom is to be lenient because it cleanses well, and does not entangle the hair.
