סימן קס סעיף ד

בִּשְׁעַת הַדְּחָק שֶׁאִי אֶפְשָׁר לָהּ לַעֲשׂוֹת הַחֲפִיפָה בַּיוֹם, תּוּכַל לַעֲשׂוֹתָהּ בַּלַּיְלָה, רַק תִּזָּהֵר לָחֹף כָּרָאוּי וְלֹא תְמַהֵר. וְכֵן אִם אִי אֶפְשָׁר לָה לָחֹף גַּם בַּלַּיְלָה, תּוּכַל לַעֲשׂוֹת כָּל הַחֲפִיפָה בַּיּוֹם.

In an emergency, when it is impossible for her to make the chafifah during the daytime, she can make it at night, but she must do it properly and not hurriedly. Also, if it is impossible for her to prolong the chafifah into the night, she may perform the entire chafifah in the daytime.
