סימן קסז סעיף ח

הָרוֹאֶה בָּתֵּי עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה בְּיִשׁוּבָן, אוֹמֵר, בֵּית גֵּאִים יִסַּח ה' (משלי ט״ו:כ״ה). בְּחֻרְבָּנָן, אוֹמֵר, אֵל נְקָמוֹת ה', אֵל נְקָמוֹת הוֹפִיעַ (תהילים צ״ד:א׳).

If you see houses of idolatry in a settled state⁵Rashi explains that this refers to places where idol worshippers live in peace and prosperity. The Rif explains this to mean a place of idol worship. you should say: "God will uproot the house of the haughty."⁶Proverbs 15:25. (If you see them) in a state of destruction, you should say: "Almighty of vengeance, God, Almighty of vengeance, reveal Yourself."⁷Psalms 94: 1.
