סימן קעז סעיף ז

אֵין מַרְגִּילִין בַּבְּכוֹר, דְּהַיְנוּ לְהַפְשִׁיט עוֹרוֹ שָׁלֵם דֶּרֶךְ מַרְגְּלוֹתָיו, דְּנִרְאֶה כְבִזָּיוֹן, שֶׁבְּעוֹד שֶׁהָעוֹר עַל הַקֳּדָשִים, חוֹשֵׁב לַעֲשׂוֹת מִמֶּנוּ מַפּוּחַ.

It is not permitted to be margil the firstborn.³Not even if it has a blemish. (Taz 307:1.) This means it must not be skinned in one piece, from its feet upward, for it would appear disgraceful to skin the sacred [animal], with the intention of making bellows of it (the skin).

תנא דבי אליהו כל השונה הלכות בכל יום מובטח לו שהוא בן העולם הבא שנאמר הליכות עולם לו אל תקרי הליכות אלא הלכות (נדה ע"ג.)
