סימן קפב סעיף טז

דִּינָא דְּמַלְכוּתָא דִּינָא.

The law of existing government must be recognized as the law (in civil matters).¹⁴This too applies only to laws that are designed for the benefit of the government or of its citizens. However, it does not apply to laws of inheritance or similar circumstances relative to individual or family obligations. (Ramah 369:11)
