סימן צח סעיף כ

אֵין לִשְׁחֹט בְּהֵמָה בְּיוֹם טוֹב, אֶלָּא לְצֹרֶךְ גָּדוֹל. וְאָסוּר לִמְכּוֹר אֶת הַבָּשָׂר בְּמִשְׁקָל וְלֹא בִּקְצִיצַת דָּמִים, אֶלָּא נוֹתֵן לוֹ אֵיזֶה חֵלֶק סְתָם וּלְאַחַר יוֹם טוֹב יְשַׁלֵּם לוֹ (תצ"ח ת"ק).

You may not slaughter an animal on Yom Tov⁵⁸But poultry is permitted. (Chayei Adam, Mishnah Berurah 495:50) unless it is absolutely necessary.⁵⁹Magein Avraham 498:16. This is the custom, even when treifos are not very common. (Mishnah Berurah 498:49) It is forbidden to sell meat by weight and at a set price. But you may give someone a piece of meat to be paid for after Yom Tov.
