סימן יז סעיף ו

הַקּוֹרֵא קְרִיאַת שְׁמַע, לֹא יִרְמֹז בְּעֵינָיו, וְלֹא יִקְרֹץ בִּשְׂפָתָיו, וְלֹא יַרְאֶה בְּאֶצְבְּעוֹתָיו, אַךְ לְצֹרֶךְ מִצְוָה מֻתָּר לִרְמֹז בְּפָרָשָׁה שְׁנִיָּה. (ס"ג)

When reading the Shema you may not signal with your eyes,¹⁵For the purpose of communicating with someone. nor move your lips, nor indicate with your fingers;¹⁵For the purpose of communicating with someone. but for the purpose of [fulfilling] a commandment, it is permitted to signal when reading the second paragraph.

תנא דבי אליהו כל השונה הלכות בכל יום מובטח לו שהוא בן העולם הבא שנאמר הליכות עולם לו אל תקרי הליכות אלא הלכות (נדה ע"ג.)
